Black-Eyed Susan’s

Founded: July 1, 2010

Major players: Christopher Sanchez & Ashley Pellagrino

Location: 7801 Long Beach Boulelvard, Harvey Cedars, NJ

The team behind Black-Eyed Susans strongly believes that the best food is locally grown, and therefore revolves their menu around seasonally available ingredients, much of which are procured from local organic farms, distributors with a focus on sustainability and fisherman out of Viking Village in Barnegat Light. The dishes are both innovative and enticing, each of which make a long-lasting impression on new and returning guests.

The popular shore town restaurant serves more than meals. Throughout the year, Sanchez & Pellegrino make an effort to support the LBI Region through involvement in community events such as the Jetty Coquina Jam to benefit David’s Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation and the Harvey Cedars Dog Day Race.

Black-Eyed Susans is an experience not to be missed. It’s upscale dining with a homey feel and beachy setting – characteristics that make it one of the hottest spots on the Long Beach island. Each summer opening is something many LBI locals look forward to! Tables fill up fast, so be sure to plan ahead and make a reservation!
